Congratulations to the University of Newcastle, members of ECA Hunter regional group and the Social Justice group for running a very successful and well attended conference on Monday night at Callaghan.

 There were 5 speakers – including a fourth year student, and a part-time lecturer and local Director. Great presentations by Marianne Fenech and Kathryn Bown. So good to have them in the Hunter region. Good advocacy advice was delivered from the local State member Clayton Barr. A great night.

There were about 50 educators and students in attendance on a very cold night. A great endeavour by the local professional community. Thanks for all your effort. All the attendees appreciated it!

 Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Dr Marianne Fenech, completed a Masters degree in Community Management and a PhD on the topic of optimising quality long day care through regulation.
