NSW Premier’s Scholarship closes Friday May 17th

The NSW Premier’s Teacher Scholarships are closing shortly on Friday, May 17 2024.

This is your last chance to apply for this fantastic opportunity for all teachers. Promoted by the Department of Education, the scholarships are open to permanent and temporary teachers in NSW government and non-government schools, on TAFE NSW campuses and across early childhood centres.

Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to undertake a five-week study tour internationally or within Australia to explore best practice in their chosen focus area.

12 scholarships are open to apply for, each with a different area of interest. There financial award allows Early Childhood teachers to be able to research and discover their speciality area.

The photo above is from 2017 when ECA member Roseanne Pugh, former Director of KU Ourimbah Preschool and Children’s Centre was awarded the $10,000 Early Childhood Scholarship for her service’s work on Forest Preschools. The children at the KU Centre are immersed in nature, allowing them to connect with the natural world. Roseanne used the scholarship money to further her research into forest preschools.
